Thoughts

I am writing to say thank you, but there is not any ONE word that’s good enough to express the things that my heart is feeling today for you all making so many children’s dreams come true for all of these VERY special Grin Kids as well as their entire families.
     My name is Debra Campbell and I must say, that until our granddaughter Lainey was chosen to be a Grin Kid, neither I, nor my husband had ever heard of the Ace&TJ show, because we do not live in your listening area. Our daughter Shelly called us one day and said, “You know, I listen to this radio show everyday, and Mom you should hear these guys, they are so funny and they are from La., but they also have huge hearts”. Then she began to tell us about your Grin Kids Organization. She said “I think I will apply for Lainey and see what happens”. I told her just do it and GOD will do the rest and He surely did in a GREAT WAY THROUGH EACH OF YOU!!  Lainey has been through so much, yet she smiles through it all. We feel so blessed that God sent her to us. She is such a joy. I hope you were blessed by meeting her and her family. We are from N.O, La. so of course we do not get your show there, but now that I know we can listen on line, we will be
 doing so. I will try not to make this too long, but wanted you to have a bit of background on us as a family. My husband has just spent the last 19 months in Egypt for his job, so it has been hard on all of us with him being away.  Now the tears start…. My husband and I were not able to go to the send-off celebration at the airport to see our Grin Kid off on Oct. 3rd, because we had to travel to N.O., but we did check out what was going on through the website each and every day.  Our hearts were so touched to see how much this truly meant to all of the Grin Kids, their families, as well as your ENTIRE staff! This is truly a blessing from God for all of these families, including ours.  We can tell that what you do is sincere and from your hearts, and you are the people that make these children “grin” from ear to ear!
     We were able to pick them up when they returned to Charlotte on Tuesday, and I went into the airport and got to meet some of the families and staff. The tears began to flow and thank you is simply NOT enough!  I know our Lainey and Paige will never forget this wonderful event that has taken place in their lives. I would like to say to "Fuzzy Pete", (this is my name to him,because he is the one that spoke with me at the airport, and when he did, I could see how much these families meant to him as tears were rolling down his face), I appreciate your love,concern,care, and compassion for everyone. You touched my heart when you said that all of us were now part of the Grin Kids family!! Thank you so much Pete!!!  I told him that we were able to listen to your show for the first time that morning and of course we cried the whole time. My husband said you are ALL super people. Fuzzy Pete said "this was a bad time to start listening because when you listen
 to the show again you might say these guys are crazy!"  My husband says that’s the fun part about it because this is who you all truly are. Now you will always have us as part of your Grin Kids Family (like it or not :) ). We will do everything we can to help make even more children’s dreams come true in the future. We know what this has meant to every child and their families. Paige has not stopped talking about her experience (especially hanging out with Guenn!)  and I KNOW that Lainey will tell us all about it one day!  And it will be because of everything her little eyes got to see, and everything her little ears got to hear while being in Disney World with you all!  Thank you for the hope you have given to us in this great way of caring for our Grin Kid and our family. As we look, listen, and read about all the other families, we now know that our daughter is not alone in this daily battle with our little Lainey Bug. Thank you for what this has
 done for my daughter and for putting a smile on her face just knowing that she did all she could do for Lainey and Paige as a Mother always wants to do. You have made it possible for her to have support from other families and make some life long friends! THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart, we are truly blessed to have people like you in this world!! God bless you guys and we will soon be listening everyday because we are moving here to SC to be near all 3 of our babies!  Thank you ALL!!  May God continue to bless the GRIN KIDS as well as your ENTIRE staff! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You…  For all you have done and continue to do!! Looking Forward to meeting each of you one day!
